There are four basic reports that are sent to you after sending claims electronically. The first report is the 24 hour or confirmation report, which confirms the arrival and acceptance or rejection of your claim file. The second report is a 48 hour report that indicates your claims have been sent to the carriers (commercial carriers only). The third report is a 72 hour report that provides confirmation from the carriers that they have received your claims (commercial
carriers, some Blue Shields and Medicares). The final report is a status report explaining what phase of the claims life cycle you claims are currently in. It will tell you if your claims are paid, pending, duplicates, rejected and etc., thereby giving you a complete tool to help better track your claims.
